The Canivet CHW Ag Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of Dirofilaria immitis antigens (CHW Ag) in dog’s serum, plasma and whole blood specimen. Assay Time: 5-10 minutes
PRODUCT DETAILS
The pathogen of heartworm disease is Dirofilaria immitis, a blood parasitic disease transmitted by mosquito bites. It can infect dogs of any age. It has also been found in cats and humans. Research reports show that stray cats suffer from heartworm disease. The proportion is 4-15%. Since cats have small hearts, once they suffer from this disease, the mortality rate is much higher than that of dogs.
