Lyme disease is a multisystem disease caused by Borrelia burgdorferi, a zoonotic disease transmitted by ticks. Sick dogs have elevated body temperature, decreased appetite, depression, and lethargy. Inflamed, swollen joints. The most obvious symptom of Lyme disease is intermittent non-erosive arthritis. Most dogs have recurrent lameness and multiple joint involvement, most commonly the wrist. Lyme disease-positive dogs may develop myocardial dysfunction, manifesting as myocardial necrosis and verrucous endocarditis. Cats infected with Borrelia burgdorferi are mainly reduced to fever, anorexia, depression, fatigue, lameness, or swollen joints.

Principle
Test Procedure
-Using the capillary dropper to place 1 drop (approx. 10μL) of the prepared specimen into the sample hole “S” of the test device. Then drop 3 drops (approx. 90μL) of the assay buffer into the sample hole immediately.
-Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 10 minutes is considered as invalid.
